   GAMES AROUND THE WORLD                           

SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT:  Empathy

Celebrate the differences and commonalities of many cultures through the games people play.  Travel around the world and discover that smiles are the same in any language. Equipment list- Flower Sticks, Diabolo (Chinese Yo Yo), Lariat, Pelele (Fling It Net), Peteca (Volleybird).  

JUGGLING THROUGH THE AGES

SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT: Perseverance

Develop hand-eye coordination, increase reading comprehension and have fun while learning a skill that has thrilled people for centuries.  Experience the joy of juggling!  Equipment list- Scarves, Success Balls, Bean Bags, Rings, Clubs

             COGNITIVE CREATIVITY

SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT: Contemplation

Students learn about the brain, its anatomy, size, structure and functions.  Explore the wonders of the brain including what and how it learns and remembers.  Equipment List- Juggle Cups, Balance Tubes, Spider Balls

  THREE STRIKES, YOU'RE AWESOME

 SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT: Compassion

Positive attitudes, pick ups not put downs.  Use words as tools instead of weapons. Anti-Bullying.  Develop empathy, trust and character while increasing ocular movement skills during these awesome striking activities! Equipment List- Paddles, Success Balls

 
                     BORN IN THE USA

SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT- Ingenuity

Take an enjoyable journey and explore the history of some of America's best known sports and games.  Baseball, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Frisbee flying discs, and Hacky Sack footbags.  Equipment list- Footbags, Spin Jammer Frisbee.  

 
                         TEAMS WORK

SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT:  Cooperation

Develop teamsmanship and sportsmanship.  Working together to accomplish a goal is easy and fun when your team is performing in a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere where everyone wins!  Equipment list- Fling It Net, Success Balls, Nebula Track

              BEYOND THROW & CATCH

SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT:  Creativity

Get creative, think outside the box, do something different!  There are many ways to find the answer to any question.  Sometimes doing a familiar activity in an unusual way can open the mind to a wide spectrum of possibilities.  Explore the creative genius that is in all of us. Equipment list- Foxtails, Catch Ball, Success Balls

SPOTLIGHTING CHARACTER TRAIT-  Innovative

Active potpourri of the ancient art of circus.  Students develop confidence with unusual, non-traditional, unique equipment.  Equipment list- Various Juggling Equipment, Diabolo (Chinese Yo Yo) and Balance Props.
